Description
When calamity looms on Earth, hundreds of settlers are sent to three habitable planets. Fifty years elapse before Earth is able to dispatch an emissary -- Strang -- to see if they have survived.
On the first planet he finds an unspoiled paradise of great natural beauty where hardy settlers, among them Irish, American, Scandinavian and German colonies, have survived and flourished although threatened by prehistoric creatures and practitioners of the black arts as well as some of their own members who have proved to be "bad seed."
Strang has two remarkable androids to help him enforce the law but he also has to draw on his own powers of telepathy and astral travel, aided by two young women who also have The Gift.
They endure great trials, both physical and spiritual, in their struggle to tame this wild wonderful world so that other settlers might escape from.Earth before it becomes uninhabitable.
