Cooties and Bird Aliens

Iri thought the worst possible thing was happening to her. Her parents were about to tear down the house she grew up in. Her life was over. But soon Iri would learn that getting a new home was not a real life crisis.

Trapped on an alien vessel, facing days or weeks of medical experimentation with no hope of release, Iri must become a leader and face a real crisis with determination and bravery if she is to return to her family.


Cindy Hanwell wrote this story as part of her ninth grade home school program using the One Year Adventure Novel program. For her senior year English project she corrected the grammar and punctuation in this book and in her sister Jessica’s book, Whisper Knife.

Cindy lives in a rural area outside of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, on a farmette. She does not plan to write any more stories.

Tracey Hanwell is Cindy’s mother. She published this book using PagePlus software by Serif. She also plans to publish Whisper Knife.
