Remittance Man

Ragnar Maria Eisenwod spends two thirds of each month sleeping in a beautiful and elaborate dreamworld. In the remaining third, he lives in a small colonial outpost in Sumatra amid other remittance men, people who have dropped out of European society, each for his own reason and each in his own way. His dreams and the incidents of his waking life reveal the secret circumstances of his exile and his soul.
