Description
A simple therapeutic way to handle one's emotional responses and to lead a manageable life, free from alcohol and drug addiction problems!
The 12 Step path given in the 1939 edition of the book “Alcoholics Anonymous†(Big Book) – which they said rarely fails – was a brief psychodynamic therapy, or a need gratification therapy. It’s Step Twelve had said “Having had a spiritual *experience* as the result of these steps, we tried to carry this message…â€, the spiritual experience being defined in the Big Book as an occurrence of “huge emotional displacement and rearrangements†– that is, a psychological experience. This psychodynamic therapy had been explained in my 2010 book “12 Steps in a Day: The Lost Pathâ€, which has now been made into this Kindle eBook titled “12 Steps in a Day: When AA Failsâ€
The main reason why Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) fails for most of the people who try it is that AA, and also the other 12 Step fellowships today, are not following the simple original 1939 AA path. They are instead following a new 12 Step program whose Step Twelve say, “Having had a spiritual *awakening* as the result of these steps, we tried to carry this message…â€
This book also contains the directions of the Ancient Indian Vedanta technique given in Bhagavad Gita – Gautama Buddha’s Vipassana meditation. And, an Appendix on nutrition and vitamin supplementation has also been included in the book to help people with addiction problems in restoring their health and well-being.
