Down six dress sizes, sixty three pounds and counting. And it was all because of Jackson, aka Brownie, my furry, four-pawed, pointy-eared personal trainer. Well not all because of Jackson, but he had a lot to do with it. I was a new woman! I even had a new nickname--Brick-house! I had my swag back; I felt good, looked good, had extra energy and I was enjoying a more positive outlook on life. And because of this weight loss, I was even able to stop taking some medications that had been prescribed for me due to all the extra weight I was carrying. I was now a size 10 instead of 22. I couldn’t believe it. I was truly a new woman. And I was lovin’ every minute of it!
It all started one day when I looked at a photo of myself. There’s something about a photograph that can just blow your eyes wide open. I was always one of those women who ‘carried her weight well’. What in the world does that mean? Who carries seventy plus pounds of extra weight well? That even sounds crazy, but nevertheless, I was one of those individuals who took pride in this exercise. But the day I saw the picture, it all changed. Carrying weight well or not, I looked a hot mess!

Terri Elizabeth Hubbard is a wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend. Married to her best friend of thirty years, Dewayne, together they pastor The Way of God Apostolic Church in Mount Vernon Ohio. Licensed through the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World Inc., Terri is a gifted bible teacher, sharing the word of God and practical every-day living strategies. Terri travels extensively speaking at women’s retreats, workshops and seminars. She is also the president and CEO of Sistafriendzz, an organization dedicated to meet the needs specific to pastor’s wives. Using faith filled words to build up and edify her listeners, Terri has a burning passion to encourage, teach and motivate her listeners. Her experiences as a wife, mother, ministry leader, and author have given her a unique perspective that she shares candidly.
When she is not ministering, Terri loves reading and writing and spending time with her husband Dewayne, daughters Loria Dionne and Daria. And last but certainly not least, Terri loves walking her beloved canine companions: Jackson, Jazzy and Sherman.
