About the author: For over twenty years William L. Cox has been actively involved in improving corporate productivity. He has managed information technology services for a fourteen-hospital health care system as well as some of the largest and most respected companies in the world including Citigroup, Associates First Capital Corporation, Dean Witter Reynolds, and Sears.
In addition, as a volunteer Mr. Cox has served as Chapter President for the Association of Information Technology Professionals; director of the Appalachian Regional Computer Expo; adviser for multiple college curricula; and active participant and leader in regional economic development councils. He holds a Master of Science degree in Information Technology.
Some of his most notable achievements include the effective use of "burst management" to improve productivity, and authoring an effective employee performance guide using the "rubber-band man". Both of these topics, among many others, are reviewed in the book "Fundamentals of Effective Management - Life Skills and Insights".
