As a writer of erotica, blogger, and occasional columnist, I've found that my readers are often eager to share their own dirty stories with me. For some reason, they feel safe sharing very intimate and very detailed accounts with a total stranger. It puts me in a unique position of having my inbox filled with some truly dirty, filthy, erotic tales. It can make it hard to concentrate throughout the day while being bombarded with hair-raising stories that, well, make me want to do something other than work.

While not every dirty e-mail I receive is worth reading, some of them are pure works of erotic art. I began saving the best messages, mostly for my own amusement...until one day I had enough of an archive that I realized I should really do something with these.

I've been carefully selecting from the very best reader e-mails, sifting through the wildly exaggerated, the outright fabrications, the overly vulgar, the too short, the exceedingly long manifestos of sexual conquest, looking for those stories that were hot and exciting, but also had a little something special.

I've set about releasing these letters to the sex-columnist to the general public. With the original author's permission, I've set about to polish these gems. I promise that I have not changed any basic facts or wildly exaggerated anything, simply cleaned them up and perhaps made the stories "show" a little more and "tell" a little less.
