The Girl with the Bolt Action Rifle
Description
After coming home to find her parents had been murdered, 13-years-old Elise Betróthe spent her next few days wandering aimlessly about the fields of their farm, miles from anyone. However, on her 14th birthday, just a few weeks after, upon searching through her father's wardrobe, she clasped hold of something hard, hidden at the very back. The radio was still playing from when her parents had left it and she was told of the oncoming war, and that dictator, Adolf Hitler, was going to kill the Jews.
As Elise was told of Hitler's regime, she pulled the heavy, wooden object from the back of her father's wardrobe to reveal a bolt action sniper rifle. It was at this moment that Elise Betróthe formulated her plan. She was going to avenge her parents’ deaths. On her 15th birthday, she was going to travel across Germany. And she was going to assassinate Adolf Hitler.
