After the sudden death of Maizan's sister, she decides to leave her painful history in New York to move to Atlanta with her best friend Noelle. Noelle is a well-known gospel singer on the rise. When she suggests to Maizan to take a job at the bookstore at her mega church she meets Casmir the manager and they form a bond that seems unbreakable. Casmir and Noelle both expose Maizan to a life she never thought she would see.
