This Christian institution strives always for academic excellence, schol¬arly discipline, and effective educational processes. Above all these, however, and furnishing the foundation and ra¬tionale for them all, is the College's desire and determination to be an in¬stitution where one can prepare for a life of service to God. The fervent hope and prayer of the editors and authors is that wherever this volume is read and used, it may be effective in furthering the cause of Christ, the work of God's church, and the strength of Christian higher education.
