Description
WARNING–01

This is a good story badly written. As a reading experience, it requires a rewrite. Its usefulness, therefore, may only be apparent to would-be authors wishing to know how not to write. The original objective was not “how not to write”, but to provide a small insight into life in the 1960s in two Bata Towns, Bata East Tilbury in England, and Bata Limuru in Kenya. The story, therefore, began life as “Wife Wanted Kenya Bata Limuru”.

Amongst “Finola Story’s” 215 A4 pages and 163,000 words are numerous “how not to write” examples. They have not been highlighted or reviewed in order to allow readers the dubious satisfaction of discovering the errors for themselves. Also, amongst those “How not to” examples, the reader may discover the 1,000 words that are the equal of those they paid much more for.

WARNING–02

This is a two sisters meet boy book where the search for sex raises its ugly head. As such, nudity is involved and words beginning with “C” occur. This book is therefore unsuitable for the under 60s or those on a diet of milk. It stands to reason. Where love dances, sexual happenings often occur, and mutual undressing disrobes for sexual satisfaction. As a result, the word combinations drifting in on the tide are a massive embarrassment to the Indian Ocean. Not surprising it finds the language abysmal. It would even have the Devil praying for absolution. !!! You have been warned. !!! And if you are over sixty, and expect to be roused, be prepared for massive disappointment. Ask not if life without disappointment is “Heavenly bliss”. Finola’s Story is not.

The writing may not be much good, but it has taught the author much. Hopefully, this tutelage will benefit “Against Pilbara Skies”, a story set on Dampier Island in North West Australia. 2016 will tell if the author has gleaned anything from previous mistakes and succeeded in writing something readable.

If you are under 16, and I was your mother, I might prefer you not proceed beyond this page. Some of the subjects, and word combinations, could be construed as unsuitable, illiterate, or both, have you instantly fail your exams. To proceed is therefore unsuitable for young minds, or even those adult minds sensitive to sexual innuendo.

Thank you for watching, my heart is racing to know your thinking.
