Breaking the Chain

“Breaking the Chain” depicts the struggles of five mulatto African-American women as they work through their relationships with each other and with the citizens of Crosstown, Georgia.

This fictional novel focuses on the Jackson women and how they, as individuals and as a unit, deal with many of their problems—including racial prejudice, socioeconomic disadvantages, molestation and infidelity.

“Breaking the Chain” gives a vivid and descriptive glimpse into the lives of these women as they attempt to preserve the chains that bind them.
