These lyric poems are modeled conceptually on the musical "Preludes" of Frederyc Chopin, J.S. Bach, and Debussy; that is they are anticipatory moments; the interval "just before" the "Main Event". They present the space of anticipation for that which is imagined, hoped for or foretold. In this way, like Chopin's 24 Preludes for piano, they are complete statements in and of themselves; the "always more beautiful question."
