Description
Based on the feedback of a reader - for which we're extremely grateful - we've amended the book and clarified what's included.
This book is approximately 48 pages in printed length. It is not just a set of "floor plans" designed just to get ideas from various layouts, which is what most plan books contain. Typically, you cannot build from them because they do not include elevations or measurements.
This book is a set of actual plans and not a "book" in the conventional sense. They are the exact plans we had drawn up to build the Muskoka Tiny House. It's all you need and it's all we used. Our cost for the original design and drafting work and the plans you get in the book was just under $2,000. To inspire new Tiny House builders, we sell them here for $9.99.
However, you will require knowledge of basic construction to use and interpret them because they include only the basic elevations used by professional builders. Our plans do not include lots of pictures, framing or interior detail and close-ups of sections, angles, instructions, cut list, plumbing or electrical details etc. Construction is based on standard residential techniques, so any online how-to information on framing, roofing, etc. would answer your questions if you want to build it yourself. The electrical and plumbing systems can be set up to suit your needs and interior layout. You can change any aspect of the plan you like.
Tiny House plans range from the very basic and minimum set of elevations (like ours) requiring more skill to build, to highly detailed (and much more expensive) plans complete with "how to build" step by step instructions, drawings and photographs for the novice. If you don't want to spend any time figuring stuff out, are prepared to spend much more money to buy a set of plans with detailed step by step instructions, then we do not recommend this plan book for you.
