My Nude Protest

This is a short story from an 18 year old college girl called Georgie, who during a drink with friends, comes up with a way of showing her dad, and her college, that she is old enough to make her own decisions about what clothes and footwear she is allowed to wear. Prior to the night out, Georgie found herself in the college Principal’s office discussing the height of her heels and the length of her skirt. She spent a day barefoot at college when the Principal declared her heels too dangerous for the college steps and confiscated them from her. Then Georgie rebels against her dad over the same thing, and runs barefoot to the taxi and spends her night out that way. After probably a few too many drinks with her friends, Georgie comes up with the idea of a ‘nude protest’ to show her dad and the college that it is better she wears something that they perhaps don't approve of, rather than nothing at all, rebelling against her lack of freedom to wear the clothes and footwear that she chooses. During her almost ‘nude protest’ down the high street, Georgie meets a group of college boys, a lecturer from her college, a family friend and her college Principal, before returning back home.
