Description
Why did I write this book? Around the year 2007, I saw a need to put all of these wonderful adaptive, management tools in one place and publish it. Since then, I have been putting bits together to build this guide...and it is not done yet... Every day I learn new tools that should be part of this book. I know that I do not know everything, but I am willing to learn, adapt, and get it done. These are the three most important characteristics of the 21st century project managers. I hope you agree. Special thanks to other Agile and SCRUM authors, whose work has inspired me to write this guide. See the authors reference list on the page 2 and the reference links throughout the book.

"A Guide to the Agile Management Body of Knowledge (ABOK)" is designed for busy professional who would like to learn agile project management, methodologies, tools and techniques and pass the PMI-ACP® exam. The ABOK has been used within the Agile Expert training program from eConsulting Group since the year 2008. It is based on real-world, hands-on experience of what works (and doesn't work) in applying Agile practices to achieve gains such as faster market penetration, higher ROI, and customer satisfaction. Many of these practices and the underlying principles belong to the class called SCRUM Development (Ken Schwaber), Lean Software Development, Lean Production, and Lean-Six Sigma. These connections suggest that the Agile principles and practices are applicable beyond software development to other types of projects, industries and to general management. "Agile Management" is an emerging trend and it has been applied through many industries...we hope you join as well.

Cheers. Mike Z. Marco
