At the present book are introduced some important definitions of Statistics. Through solved exercises are presented topics like: sampling techniques, frequency distributions, histograms, frequency polygons, ogives; also measures of central tendency (mean, median, mode, midrange), measures of variation (standard deviation, variance, range), and measures of position (quartiles, percentiles and others.). Some examples of the use of Microsoft Excel to calculate statistical parameters are presented.
