Members of the Anikawi clan were strictly forbidden to marry inside their own group. In fact, it was deemed a serious crime punishable by death. When one woman discovers the true nature of her marriage, she looks for a way out but finds no easy solution. Her only choice is to enlist the help of her brother who resides as chief of the village. With no one else to turn to, she can only hope he can be trusted with the truth.
