Description

First instalment in the serial ‘Demon’s Mark’.

Being different had never been easy.
Of course, after 27 years of living as a social outcast, Selma had become quite accustomed to the isolation and lack of dreams for a happy future. What she'd never gotten used to were the demons she saw; the dangerous creatures masquerading as humans, blending into the regular world as if they belonged.
No one else ever saw what she did: not when she was younger, and not the night she was attacked by horned monsters, losing the precarious grasp on her already damaged mind.

Trapped in a mental hospital, Selma's only hope of gaining back her life is a young psychiatrist with smoldering looks and some very disturbing ideas for her treatments. If she is ever to see the outside world again, she must submit to him.

But he is one of them—and his intentions are far more devious than they appear.

WARNING: 'Branded' contains explicit sexual scenes featuring light bondage, a manipulative demon who likes to play rough, as well as an achingly thorough fisting session. It is only suitable for ages 18+.

This novelette is 16500 words, or about 50 pages.

Excerpt: Warm hands slid over her ribcage, brushing the shirt open and nestling underneath her breasts, causing an involuntary hitch in her breathing.
"Your heart is beating so fast," he murmured, those large hands moving in what was probably meant to be small, soothing circles, but only emphasized the feel of his palm against her bare skin along with gentle brushes along the sensitive underside of her breasts. She felt her nipples harden in response.
"Are you still scared of me?"
Despite the gentle tone the suddenly somewhat firmer press against her ribs lessened her desire to test him with another lie. "Yes," she whispered, shamefully aware that her firmly shut eyes must make her appear like she was trying to hide from the darkness by pretending it wasn't there. "But . . . but it's okay, I just . . . I know you're not a monster."
A low chuckle made her crack open an eye, and the sight of his wry smile met her.
"That's good; that's a step in the right direction," he assured her, face slipping back into the professional mask as his hands slid up and over her breasts, encompassing them fully.
