A Mission to India: A Life-Changing 3 Month Mission Living Amongst the Poorest of the Poor

Journal entry: Sunday, September 19, 1999 - "It's the last full day before I leave for India. How am I feeling? Well, a bit of nervousness so I called Fr. Sebastian this morning to verify he'll be there to pick me up in Madurai on Wednesday. After I hung up the phone my stomach got butterflys. I guess it's the fear of the unknown but I know that God will watch over me. This volunteer effort for 3 months is dedicated to Him and I know he is pleased. I really do look forward to this experience because it's a chance of a lifetime that's been granted me. I hope everything goes well but I assume there will be sickness due to the water and food. Hopefully the over the counter meds I bring will keep me healthy."
