Jubal's Gold

Archeologist and anthropologist, Nick and Jackie Dixon, are once again prospecting for treasure. This time, they uncover a jar of gold coins and a letter citing the possible location of lost Confederate gold.

The letter is one hundred fifty years old and was written by a young medic during the war between the States. The Union army had been advancing south toward Dahlonega, Georgia where the Confederate States of America had stored two thousand pounds of gold bullion. Captain Jubal Rawlings’ mission was to hide that gold from Union forces in a place of his choosing and then return with his troop to Dahlonega — but he never came back.

The Dixon’s life of poverty sets the stage for an obsession that will change their lives forever. Their research presents them with certain facts and Jackie’s decision to follow the clues they uncover is created by a stubborn determination to go from rags to riches.

Will the resourcefulness of one young woman be enough to save the gold from all who would dare to take it?
