A Companion to Communication Skills in English: A Practical Approach to Improving Pronunciation

Pronunciation is an essential element of oral communication. It is something that is responsible for a speaker’s overall impression on the audience. This book presents everything related to pronunciation in the easiest and simplest way possible. It is divided into two parts. Part I deals with the sound system in English focusing on the IPA symbols and their pronunciation. Par II discusses the rules for making accent on syllables in words and that on words in sentences. The book contains several lessons which provide hints related to the rules of pronunciation and instructions for practising them. The book is intended for the undergraduate students of different streams. It can also be used by plus two level students to improve and develop their pronunciation.
