"Richard Dawkins' God Delusion" is not only a fascinating battle with the book written by the famous British atheist. It is a clash of two epochs - the old atheistic school of the XIX and XX centuries, full, as it turns out, of an irrational chaos of assertions, contradictions and intolerance - with the modern Christianity of XXI century, focused on the accuracy, consistency and objectivity of the presented position. If you don't have enough time to search the libraries to verify all Dawkins' statements or if you wish to know the weakness of modern atheist arguments in an approachable way, You should read this book. Such subjects are often thought and discussed in a vary life situations .
The book is directed to the most demanding readers. The title itself points, that the needle of criticism is addressed to the modern prominent work of atheism. The book characterizes exceptionally condensed and documented supported thought, more than two hundred footnotes and rich bibliography. It secionally considerates scientific value of English biologists' outlook. From the polemical point of view, the book is fascinating since it drags into the subject and extremely graphically analyzes thoughts presented by Richard Dawkins. Each fundamental professors' accusation is quoted in a form of a citation and discussed over with the precised accuracy. Once you read this book, you will not want to read 'The God Delusion' itself!
Presented position it's not only a comprehensive work arguing with 'The God Delusion', but it's mainly the explanation of the Christianity essence and it's rational foundation. It cannot be read in one night since the content is extremely rich and multi-threaded. It should be studied though from the beginning to the end without separating chapters out of context due to their logical relation.
It's worth noticing, that the author is Polish, which has a considerable meaning for the arguments' value assessment. Mainly because the atheism for the years 1945 to 1989 was the official state ideology in Poland and was characterized by a unique virulence towards religion (such facts cannot be found in R. Dawkins' book). Studying P. Bloch book clearly shows, that English biologist arguments are well known to the Polish polemicist, since there were widely propagated in Poland. The writer already indicates it in the preface of his deliberations by bringing Karol Marks', the communism creator, writings. Karol Marks acknowledged religion as 'delusion' to which in turn Richard Dawkins referred to by naming his book 'The God Delusion'. That is also why P. Bloch overrules Dawkins' successive accusations in an unshakeable consequence, putting him in a full of confusion....
Everyone, who is interested in a subject of faith in God or ranges and wonders over religions' rationality or Jesus' life, should definitely reach for the book.)
