📖 Description
In most systems, an opening 2♦ is hardly ever used and isn't really needed. Have you ever wondered whether there is a better use for your 2♦ opener? There is now. Changing to a Parallel 2♦ Opening is easy and effective.
For decades a 2♣ opening has meant one thing and one thing only to most bridge players: a very strong hand. This book challenges that paradigm. Using statistics taken from 275,000 bridge deals in top level competitions, it shows why using 2♣ for really big and very infrequent hands is a waste of a perfectly good opening bid. It then goes on to explain a much more frequent and effective use for the bid and how you can use 2NT for all big hands in systems based on SAYC and Acol.
I finish by challenging another long standing Paradigm: forcing suit responses to regular weak twos. These bids don't pull their weight. Read how you can change them easily and gain an edge on even your best opponents.
