Description
Star Child: Life Eternal
What would you do with Immortality? For the De’cathians it was a way of life, a way to preserve knowledge and better themselves. Those days have come to an end, now the very existence of proof that these people even existed may rest in the hands of a Human.
Captain Mae Swain never set out to become a guardian, but sometimes life is never as straight forward as you would like.
Thrust into the middle of a war, Mae and her crew of the Alexander must overcome threats from within their very own ranks as they battle an old foe for control of the deadliest weapon ever devised.
Life Eternal is the debut book from James Steller. Set in the future, mankind struggles from a war that almost wiped them out, a foe that on the eve of conquest disappeared into the void to pursue a new target.
The story brings together fantasy and science fiction that spans an entire galaxy and the life beyond. Inspired by such science fiction greats as Star Wars and Gene Roddenberry’s Star Trek, Star Child will leave you wanting more as the saga unfolds.
What will become of Mae and her crew? Just who is the Star Child and who controls the destiny of the entire galaxy?
Released as Novella, three times a year Star Child will have you begging for the next instalment.
What do people think of the Star Child saga so far
By far Steller's greatest strength is his ability to write keen descriptions of the various technologies, their functions, and at times how they work. You never feel as if the writer is making up terms to explain away things he can't be bothered to map out, as is the case in some Sci-Fi out there today. His descriptions kept me interested without giving so much information that it bogged me down.
The overall plot of the story is detailed and interesting, blending elements of Sci-Fi and Fantasy--but make no mistake, this is a Sci-Fi through and through, Steller's confidence in his subject matter is apparent.
So is it recommended? It wouldn't be here if it wasn't.

This is a solid Sci-Fi story. The author gives great descriptions of his technology and his universe. The characters are unique with their own quirky personalities.
AMAZON.COM Review.
OMG right that book is fantastic I think you have a real talent there.
I want to read more you have me gripped already and wondering what's going to happen next.

From a purely personal point of view, I really enjoyed the descriptions of the space shuttles etc - just enough detail to give a good picture without it going over my head! Oh, and I want to know more about Mae's past. What can I say? I enjoy a good bit of gossip!
