The wormhole mess happened because of Fen's powers of restraint--which are very low, according to Fen's friend, Tabitha. So when Uncle Albert--a physics professor by day, and a wormhole engineer by night--told Fen to not, under any circumstances, go into his negative energy generator chamber alone, his warning was useless.

If only Fen hadn't gone into the chamber during a powerful thunder and lightning storm. And if only lightning hadn't struck at the exact moment Fen walked in. Now Fen Parker is a little ball of energy floating around in a wormhole that acts as a tunnel to the past. And if that isn't weird enough, every once in a while Fen is chucked out of the wormhole and into the body of someone from the past caught in a moment of drama--like Michelangelo, who wants to trick his boss, and Cleopatra, who's trying to outsmart her enemies, and Alexander the Great, who just received a letter telling him that his doctor is going to poison him.

It's a good thing life in the wormhole isn't all that bad. In fact, it's kind of exciting. But it would be kind of nice to know whether the wormhole is ever going to lead back to Uncle Albert's laboratory in Wyoming, America, where Fen's unconscious body is lying on the floor awaiting Fen's return...
