She develops microscopic machines -- nanobots -- that, when injected into humans, rush to the site of any injury and heal their host. She injects her lover, Afon Solovyov, and his canine teeth grow out into fangs, his heart beats slower and more efficiently, making a pulse hard to detect, and he and the other Immortals are virtually unstoppable. We know them today as vampires.
Isi has plans for her Immortals. She has built the perfect human so that they can go back through time and undo the environmental damage done by humans. She does not know the extent of her own power, or the mystical nature of her lineage, although she has heard the voice of nature all of her life. She is the daughter of the Earth, the last descendent of the ancient protectors, the last of the line of the House of Daearen. Nature speaks to her and through her and Isi has the power to control all of the elements: earth, fire, water, and air. She is known to us today by one word: witch.
