Sweat dripped down his forehead as he knelt before Eleanor, unable to meet her gaze.
“So what makes you think you should be forgiven this time? This is a serious matter, and this isn’t the first time I’ve had to bring you into my throne room. Do you think I’m stupid?”
Luther shook his head as fast as he could. “No Mistress, I would never think that. I always try my best to serve you, but it was a moment of weakness. I cracked. I’ll do anything at all to make it up to you, no matter what the cost or the burden I have to bear. I’m your faithful plaything.”
Eleanor had heard his begging one too many times for her liking, and with a sigh she made up her mind once and for all.
“Look me in the eye, Luther.” Shame washing over him, he glanced up at her and held her intense gaze.
“This isn’t the first time, or the second time you’ve been caught touching yourself without express permission from me. You know that the law is clear, and for your third offense you will have to be banished.”
His mouth hung open and his eyes almost bugged out of his face as he crawled forward, kissing her feet as he begged.
“Please! I’ll do anything, anything at all. Surely there must be another way.”
A brief smile flashed across Eleanor’s face before she gave him another angry look.
“Oh, there is another way. However whether or not you’ll be able to handle it is another matter entirely. Do you think you could handle being put in the gallows for a week while every citizen of Alazar has their way with you? I’m talking 24 hours of complete and utter domination, by myself and every woman that sees fit to use your pathetic body. If not, you are free to travel to any other kingdom, but you will not be allowed to stay here. The choice is yours.”
For Luther, it wasn’t a choice.
