Description
A collection of five science fiction stories, ranging from light-hearted to horror-ish. Recommended reading for young adults and up.

The Voice:
For his entire life, Herme Goodfellow has lived with an alien presence bound to his mind. It gives him innumerable advantages in fights – but also provides another “person†living inside his skull. Not exactly the most private of accommodations. So when he’s given the not-quite-by-chance opportunity to participate in the elite Five Duels, it’s expected for him to accept despite the small chance of winning. But Herme’s always been unpredictable – and this will be his biggest surprise ever.
Princess:
Being the daughter of the human diplomat has its perks. Lavish lifestyle, more money than she knows what to do with, and influence. It also has its expected downsides of lack of privacy, and the inability to be a stupid teenager like all the others. But an arranged marriage to an alien, when she’s only thirteen? That’s pushing it. Now Alina will have the chance to prove she’s every bit the diplomat her father is by avoiding the marriage – and a war, too.
Ghost:
The ghost is after him. Why, and how are buried in memories his mind refuses to acknowledge – leaving him no choice but to trust his survival to a mysterious woman who refuses to give so much as her name. So far, she seems keen on keeping him alive. But as shadows of his memories start surfacing, he’s faced with the aspect that he might know a little too much about the monster they are trying to escape…
Judgment:
For centuries, the annual Judgment has kept the world peaceful – all at the expense of one person’s life. But as Carlos and his family are about to find out, even giving one to save all is sometimes too great a sacrifice.
AI:
Bart never even wanted to go on this stupid tour. He was fine simply knowing the Hive was a gigantic computer program built by the government to manage everything from defenses to scheduling appointments. But Judy insisted, and what does he get for doing her a favor? A gun to his head, and a personal tour deep into the hive…as a hostage. His new-found group makes it clear he’s only alive so they can use his hoverchair to transfer a virus to the Hive. After that…well, Bart doesn’t like to think about what might happen. But the Hive has its own surprises – surprises that just might keep Bart alive long enough to no longer regret going on the tour.
