Robert Maxwell (1923-1991) is credited with responsibility for one of the greatest white-collar crimes of the century. Born in the Czech Republic, he settled in England and acquired a large number of companies whose pension funds he embezzled both for private gain and to finance failing companies. The aim of this book is to detail the crimes for which he is responsible, to explain the nature of white-collar crime and to draw any lessons from the case.
