BSL COLOUR SIGNS: Handy Mobi (Let's Sign Early Years)

This handy mobi contains 16 signs in flashcard format designed as a quick reference for all who use the signs from British Sign Language (BSL & SSE) to support communication in the field of deafness, special educational needs (SEN) and for all who may have additional speech and language needs.

This resource is also ideal for baby signers and for introducing all children to the basics of sign language to assist their own development and enable inclusion of others.

Includes: Basic Handshapes and Fingerspelling Alphabet.

NB. BSL colour vocabulary is subject to wide regional variation - this mobi contains the signs most widely used and understood but many more exist.
We have also included some of the common variations to some of the signs but please check with your local BSL community for signs used in your region.

To enhance learning and clarify each sign’s meaning in context, additional pictorial graphics based on the Mulberry Symbols available on www.straight-street.com have been added.

We hope that this small sampler enables users to try out this resource using the Kindle apps available for mobile phones and tablets.

This flashcard format works beautifully on tablet and phone for easy mobile access for learners and also provides a useful communication device (AAC/PECS) for those with specific difficulties to assist in everyday communication.
