This novel is the first in a four part series around the life of Amol Dixit, and is a humorous account of a man in his early thirties getting used to life in India. The novel is set in the time period of 2008 to 2010, when India was going through transformations on multiple fronts. Amol has to adjust to the demanding pressures at work, getting used to life in India, struggle to find a balance between creating a social life and spending time with parents, and finding a life partner the arranged marriage way. In a span of couple of years, Amol quits his job, goes broke and gets married... in that order.
