MUSAFIR: the traveler

'Musafir' is the collection of my gazals; those are created on paper with the ink of good and bad, distraught and joyful, gloomy and audacious days of my life and pen of my expression. This all happened in the same way as high and low tides of emotions emerge from the ocean of life and engrave some forming and falling images on the sand of heart and mind, as well as bring out ; sometimes slag and ashes then sometimes pearls and oysters on the shores
I dedicate all those colors with the ink of words to you through this book, yes all those colors, I had taken from the small foliage and young petals of trees planted on the verges of time's path, colors... I had taken from nodding colorful flowers on the shrubs, growing by brinks of life's fields placed on short distance, yes I had also taken colors from the blood of heart, which gushed due to stumbles from stones of worldliness.
Telling poetry in hindostani language and in the cloth of gazal is for me, similar as pouring pot of ale, through which both, one who recites and another who listens go on a trip of intoxication. I don't know, whether this tiny attempt of mine will be able to make you feel the delicacy, affection, beauty and magic of gazal or not, but it's for sure that my effort was wholehearted and sincere.
Apart from those readers who listen and know hindostani gazals, especially for the new generation and for the poetry readers from country and out of the country, who speak and read English poetry, I am also presenting English translation of all gazals right after the original.
I tried to keep the original format of gazal intact in this English translation, even tried to experiment of radif and kafiya with English format in many translations of collection. I hope, I could reach to your heart through these gazals, which originate from the heart of mine.
At last I thank the almighty god, who blesses all knowledge to man, my family and my colleagues, without them this collection would have not been possible to accomplish. And with this sher of my gazal, I am presenting 'Musafir' to you.

What is gazal?
Gazal : Gazal is the poetry form of hindostani language, a gazal consists of five or more than five sher, normally every sher of gazal are written on different subjects, very few gazals are there which has all the sher written on same subject.

Sher: A sher consists of two lines, minimum five sher altogether make a gazal.
