Description
Commissioned by the Board of Medical Education (BME) and authorized by the Department of Education, Culture, and Sports (DECS), the Center for Educational Measurement (CEM) has been administering the National Medical Admission Test (NMAT) for some time now. The NMAT is required of all applicants to Philippine medical schools. Although there is no cut-off score, each school may have its own cut-off on the NMAT, and excelling on it can help gain better chances of getting into one's choice of medical school.
MSA, committed to academic advancement, thus releases its first reviewer for those who wish to excel in the NMAT.
This MSA NMAT Reviewer contains questions on various subjects. Just like the NMAT, this reviewer is divided into two parts with four 50-question tests each. All tests are aimed to measure the ability and competence to become a future doctor.
Part I deals with non-science areas. Test A (Verbal) deals with English proficiency. Test B (Inductive Reasoning) aims to sharpen one's abstract reasoning skills. Test C (Quantitative) focuses on mathematical ability. Test D (Perceptual Acuity) is designed to check visual sharpness, an important characteristic of any doctor.
Part II deals with the sciences. Test A focuses on Biology, Test B on Physics, Test C on Social Science (Psychology and Sociology), and Test D on Chemistry. The questions are designed not only to test memory but also to assess the ability to synthesize and interpret information, important traits for any aspiring doctor.
Diligence is always key to attaining a high score on the NMAT and getting into one's medical school of choice. Still, good review materials will be of great help.
Prepare for your NMAT the MSA way by answering this MSA NMAT Reviewer.
