Vanished Into Thin Air: Sam Blue's Paranormal Mysteries
Description
History is full of unexplained true stories that humankind has yet to solve, from spontaneous human combustion and raining frogs to Big Foot sightings and documented reports of people vanishing into thin air.
Sam Blue has never thought much about that kind of stuff. He's been too busy trying to figure out more important real-life mysteries. Like why his parents suddenly decided to uproot the family and move 3,000 miles away to live with his grandfather—who just happens to be the scariest, meanest man in all of Bear Creek. Not to mention how his parents somehow expect him to finish his math homework when his little brother keeps stealing his calculator, and whether he'll ever have a friend in this crappy small town when his nose has a perpetual zit on it.
But when Sam is suddenly pulled into a parallel dimension by two strange kids named Peter and Miriam, he discovers he has much bigger mysteries to solve. Peter and Miriam claim that a plot is afoot to destroy both their worlds with a banned but powerful weapon—a test of which once caused the powerful Tunguska explosion in 1908. The weapon is hidden somewhere in the town of Bear Creek, and they need to find it.
Sam agrees to help, but soon realizes everything is not as it appears. Armed with a strange clue, he sets out on his own to discover the truth. Along the way, he uncovers some deeply buried family secrets, and soon realizes that saving the world will all come down to one final decision—a decision that only he can make.
Sam Blue’s Paranormal Mysteries weave documented, real-life paranormal events and scientific theories into fast-paced mysteries that combine just the right amount of fear, humor and fun.
