Great Perennial Plants, Vines, and Bulbs Guide for the Mid-Atlantic Garden

Many lifelong gardeners start with an early interest in perennials. The yearly flowering of deep blue meadow sage adds depth to frothy spring pastels, while tall garden phlox signals mid-summer, and asters herald the upcoming fall. Every year we delight again in the lush, fragrant peony and the soft blue blossoms of baptisia. Perennials reward us extravagantly, giving generous results to the work required.

The founder and editor of the late Grandiflora Mid-Atlantic Gardening magazine, Williamson has written on gardening topics for publications including the Christian Science Monitor, Loudoun magazine and the Blue Ridge Leader. Her new e-book, The Mid-Atlantic Garden, is an easy-to-read guide for beginners as well as experienced gardeners to help understand the nature of gardening in the DC, Maryland, and Virginia climate. Developing  no-nonsense and lower-maintenance approaches to garden success are among her interests. She is a member of the board of the Blue Ridge Chapter of Wild Ones.
