A Fog in Charleston

After a car accident in Charleston, SC in 2011 Caroline Porter wakes up in 1861 on the eve of the Civil War. Befriending General Pierre Gustave Toutant Beauregard she assists him using her knowledge as a Civil War historian. Through their friendship, she meets a host of characters and historical figures, all the while trying to convince the Confederate Government of her authority on the Civil War.

Honor is questioned as their friendship begins to blossom into a true romance. Duty separates them as they try to protect one another. Loyalties are tested as her information she has foretold, come to pass.

Love, loss, pride and unyielding determination to survive are now a daily part of this new life. But given a choice will she continue to endure or will she help define a new history?
