This module will outline the basic types of research projects available to you. It will direct you to basic information about each type, so you can learn more about it on your own. If you are just starting to think about your research project, or your advisor has not provided guidance on this point, it may be useful for you to understand the different types of research projects before you select one. In addition, you should know something about the different types of research as part of your preparation as a healthcare professional. Knowing about the type of research associated with the studies you read will help you better evaluate the usefulness of the information provided. In addition, each type has a page which either provides a jumping off point for further investigation or an actual tutorial to help you understand the steps you need to follow to complete your project. Participants who complete this module will be able to describe some of the types of scholarly projects available to them. Participants who complete this module will be able to access basic information about the attributes of each type of research in order to begin such a study.
