Season of the Dark
Description
In the small hours of a cold Halloween morning, Jezebel Cooper finds a little girl hiding in the loft of her cousin's barn. Is she a runaway? A stray? Or is she something more, something plucked from legend? Jezebel does not know or care: the girl needs her help, and that is all that matters. The task is simple—ferry the child to the other side of town before the clock strikes midnight—but it will not be easy.
A man on a motorcycle dogs her path—his hounds are already on her scent—and more than the child will suffer if she cannot elude his claws. She will need the aid of friends and strangers, and she will not escape the night unchanged, for only blood on the White Stag will stem the tide of the dark, and Halloween is only the beginning of Jezebel's journey.
'Season of the Dark' is a little book for children and adults alike, so long as they are not too old for an adventure.
