Confessions of a Plant Activist

The brave struggle of one woman to save historic plants in the town where the famed horticulturalist Luther Burbank carried out his experiments on plants... Laid off from her job and living on unemployment compensation, a woman with a dedicated sense of loyalty for her hometown and its history tries valiantly to rescue what she feels are historically significant specimen plants from being destroyed by a real estate developer to make way for a business park. Her grassroots struggle poses her in front of TV cameras, pits her against demolition crews and climaxes in her chaining herself to a 135 year-old wisteria vine to save its life as she is threatened by law enforcement with arrest. This is the week-by-week diary of her fight against the forces of those who seek to destroy for profit.
