Description
(Check out Kevin's new YouTube video called, "Heaven To Earth - Spoken Word": https://youtu.be/JCg26b8EO48 ). Have you heard of the incredibly intelligent, witty, and passionate author C.S. Lewis? Are you familiar with any of his phenomenal books? If so, you know just how much of a blessing it is to absorb all the insightful knowledge Lewis provides in such creative and powerful ways. If you are not familiar with him, I would encourage you to start reading some of his books as it will undoubtedly bless your life. Lewis had a 30-year long friendship with, perhaps the more famous, J.R.R. Tolkien (the creator of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings). This friendship fueled many of their works as Tolkien impacted Lewis’ more creative fictional books, but Lewis heavily impacted Tolkien’s theology and therefore the narrative tone in which he wrote. So, whether you’re familiar with Lewis or not, this eBook will hopefully be a blessing to your life as I paint a broad picture of Lewis’ theology regarding a variety of topics incorporating many of his brilliant quotes.
For example, if you want to know about Lewis’ theology regarding how God’s nature relates to theodicy (i.e. how a good God can allow evil and suffering to occur), then you may want to really dig deep into chapter 1 where I thoroughly explain this using his book, The Problem of Pain, as my guide. If you want to understand how Lewis thought about God's design and intention for love, marriage, and fidelity, then you should definitely read chapter 2. Chapter 3 is about the vast theology Lewis paints for his readers in his Chronicles of Narnia series. Chapter 4 contains perhaps the most controversial details of Lewis’ life: his authentic reaction to God after his wife’s death. The Appendix contains my personal summaries of his most beloved books in a quick, easy-to-read, bullet-point format.
Thus, at the end of reading this small but condensed eBook, it is my sincere hope you will be blessed by the insight and beauty Lewis conveys as his words seep into your soul making you more of the transformed person in Christ God intends for you to be. Secondly, reading this should provide you with all the theological material you could possibly ask for when it comes to how and what C.S. Lewis thought about God, Christianity, Jesus, the resurrection, the atonement, heaven, hell, humanity, new creation, the problem of evil and suffering, and similar theological topics. It is my sincere hope you are strengthened on your journey with the Lord by reading this. Check out Kevin's most popular YouTube video https://youtu.be/JCg26b8EO48
