Denial: A Poets Heartache is intended for mature readers and most themes are not intended for underage readers due to adult subject matter and/or content. Join the author for a intimate journey through the greatest passions of love and the darkest fears. She was initially afraid of what would be found in her heart and soul but her curiosity finally allowed her to publish her life’s work. After holding everything that was remotely personal for so long, Crystal finally realized the need to be open with herself and others in regards to loneliness, relationships, depression and triumphs. She urges the reader to travel with her through her past conquests and failures. Due to the curse of a creative soul, Crystal considers each of her poems as uniquely personal even as they vary from different subjects such as love, depression, fantasy, fear, etc due to having a constant exploration of herself. Crystal asks for guidance daily in her journey to be lead to those who may need a smile, a hug, escape, or a compassionate ear. The opportunity to share her creative side is a balm to her soul and hopefully she can inspire and motivate others to enjoy what they are passionate about.

About the Author: Crystal Hubbard is an traditional/digital artist, writer, poet, photographer and gamer. You can usually find her snuggled on the couch reading or writing…or staying up until the wee hours of the morning playing rpg or combat games. Crystal is also known to be locked away in a room, getting her ideas on canvas while dancing to electronic music. Please note that she has no rhythm and no one has told her yet. Please pity the poor soul who witnesses her try and bust a move. We refuse to go into her singing capabilities. She enjoys watching fantasy, science fiction and horror movies/shows with her loving and ridiculously patient husband. She was born in Detroit, Michigan but lives in Arlington, Texas. She is still trying to get used to the heat.

The leaves shook and moved on as if in laughter
Fro and to the branches moved
As if in a life-long dance
Craving the suns golden light

Soon it to would be gone like the wilted flowers
Stripped naked
All their covers gone
Leaves and bark that is
Biting cold eating into the exposed
Life sucked through the tunnel

Taking full toll on what used to be life
Each season totally misunderstood
The trees welcomed the suns soothing

Dark chocolate with cream
Top it off sweet thoughts
Caught floating on top
Sweet bunny chocolate
Stirring in with a spoon
And a little piece of mint

From screaming out in anguish
