These small deep-purple berries grow naturally in the rainforests of Chile, which are believed to some the most fertile places in the world. The Chilean Maqui Berry has one of the highest ORAC values of any fruit (more than four times higher than blueberries) and is abundant in anthocyanins, polyphenols, vitamins and minerals. These berries can be difficult to find because the fruit ripens and spoils quickly, and so needs to be processed soon after harvesting.
