Jean, a sixty-five-year-old grandmother of six, soon to be seven, is visiting New York City for the first time. When her cab driver refuses to take her to Lower Manhattan, veering off the highway towards Queens instead, Jean fears she'll never get to meet her new grandchild.

A hard boiled suspense story

Taxi driver, Dave Morrison, has been driving round London all day, picking up random fares, praying they will distract him from the terrible event he has to confront tomorrow morning.
When he finally parks up for the night and is approached by two men in an unlit backstreet, his prayers are answered. Unfortunately for Dave, their brand of distraction could prove fatal.

When Karen Fishburne flags down a unregistered taxi she doesn't consider for a moment whether or not she can trust the man behind the wheel. Her mind is on other things - she wants to get where she's going as fast as possible and do what she has to do before her nerve fails.
