When the other constables went AWOL, two brave constables risked their lives to defend their city. They provide the only obstacles for a gang that looted, kidnapped, raped, and murdered enthusiastically and without mercy.

Thousands of other Jamaicans found themselves trapped overseas. The story focuses on one group in Baltimore who desperately want to get home to check on their loved ones. One white American finds his immediate destiny linked to the Jamaicans at the airport.

Gilbertfollows a most-challenging period in Jamaica. The characters in the story represent the diversity of Jamaican characters. Full of drama, suspense, this thriller moves along at a fast pace. The characters represent a much broader range of Jamaican characters than the stereotypical version too often used in such stories.
