KB's History of the Royal Rumble

Battle royals are really basic when you think about it. The idea of throwing a bunch of people in the ring and having the last one standing being the winner is as primal of a competition as you can get. It made perfect sense to have something like this in professional wrestling. Battle royals have taken place in the sport for years and none of them are more famous than the Royal Rumble. Starting back in 1988, the WWF started running an annual show featuring a major battle royal and the idea never stopped. Over the years other big matches were added and the show has become one of the biggest events on WWE's calendar.

In this new book, I'll be looking back at the twenty seven Royal Rumble events and breaking down every match, segment and event in full while providing play by play, historical context and analysis.
