One fine day, Amanda Worthington, daughter of wealth and privilege, returns home from college with shocking news. At her side is boyfriend Brian Grace, the son of strict social conservatives who, by the way, will be arriving any minute now. The Graces’ visit--and the reason for it--spell double trouble for Amanda’s parents. As moderate Republicans, Chuck and Libby Worthington are keen on tax cuts, but not so keen on their more conservative GOP brethren.

Tempers and temptations flare when the Graces arrive, as all four parents duke it out for the hearts, minds, and pocketbooks of the young couple. Smart and sassy, "The First Supper" presents a funny soup of stock characters whose clashing beliefs result in a family get-together gone terribly awry.
