Scotland: The adventures of a traveller (Forgotten Stories)

This is the story of a return trip to Ardnamurchan on the wonderful West Coast of Scotland. What should have been a straightforward journey, instead was one full of incident, and dare I say it 'adventure of a rare kind'. After a magnificent drive to the north from Yorkshire, the first of two serious; but in retrospect humorous, incidents came about in a seaside town where the traveller stayed overnight. Nothing but sheer genius and ingenuity avoided a shameful fate far worse than death. The second incident occurred just after the start of the journey back to the south. Something unbelievable and unexpected happened which left the traveller stranded in a remote place. On this occasion, no ingenuity was available to secure the traveller's release. Only the chance intervention of a Good Samaritan saved the day. This is a short story so no more can be said here, except it's a story meant for reading, and one sure to raise a chuckle. Oh yes, and it is an account of things that really did happen!
