When Kim Chambers, twenty-two, goes missing near her home in South Florida, her mother suspects foul play. The police don’t and hold off on investigating. That’s not good enough for Peg Chambers and through her brother, Walt, hires his good army buddy, Jake Cole. But Walt knows little about his buddy’s personal problems.
