This story is not about a simple kidnapping, this is a story about terrorism in all its evil and ugly forms. The difference though, is that you are in touch with the thinking of these three street thug kidnappers and you are intimately aware first hand of their perspective on the crime they are committing. A notorious and prominent law firm has hired these street thugs from Montego Bay, Jamaica to kidnap the son and daughter of two wealthy Kingston, Jamaica businessmen who just happened to be on every important board of directors and organizations governing the country of Jamaica. The lawyer’s primary intention is to steal the land now owned by the Maroons. (Maroons: are escaped slaves and indigenous Native Americans. They have had their freedom since 1739 by Britain. They were a melting pot of people risking their lives for their freedom in communal villages and individual shelters all over the world of segregation.) The crooks with suits and ties want the land to develop mega-resort area in the “Blue Mountains†area, once home to past Hollywood stars like Desi Arnez and Tyrone Power. One man stands between them and success…David Darius Walker, “The Expeditorâ€. He has his own methods of success because his airborne ranger and navy seal training have put him in possession of a gift for always being one step ahead of the bad guys. He demands a large fee for his services because his objective is always the return of the hostages alive, even if he doesn’t make it all the way out. He makes the parents demand “proof of lifeâ€, so he has to carry in the money. Walker is a 53 year old divorcee whose business and life style are part of the reason he left North Carolina for Honduras and built his own prosperous Bed and Breakfast, and then built a school for Blacks and mixed race high school students who for, some reason, weren’t given the opportunity to attend college in the U.S. or abroad. His first real problem is the local Jamaican authorities who are jealous of his skills and knowledge of criminal patterns. One of whom is the assistant head of Homeland Security and a woman who, up until she meets him, had been master of all of her male encounters. Women are drawn to him as he tries to solve this case but his first concern is always the crime, because the future of Jamaica as a free republic is at stake. Women though, have always been attracted to him, as their pheromones suggest to them that he is truly “packin’.†The sequence of events carries through trying to capture the hostages from the criminal’s side and trying to avoid becoming a captive on the real-life side. It’s hard to keep your eyes on the prize when females are flashing sexy flesh at you. He tries to keep things in the right perspective because the “Expeditor†is in this business for the money. And, business to him, always means someone else’s money.
